People often ask what I have for breakfast. I have a variety of things, depending on the season, my appetite, and what ‘I feel like’. but here is one of my all-time favourites – its super healthy, super delicious, and super green.

My Super Green Healthy Breakfast Juice Recipe (vary to suit of course):

Put the following in a blender;

1 cup organic oat, almond or rice milk – available from most supermarkets or health food shops.
¼ cup boiled water
1-3 bananas – depending on appetite
1-2 handfuls of fresh seasonal fruit – grapes, pears, peaches, strawberries etc (personal choice)
1-2 bunches of one or more greens (silverbeet, spinach, bok choy etc)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Optional extras: (I put ‘everything’ in mine)

1-3 fresh dates (and/or figs, raisins)
½ tspn unheated honey or molasses
¼ tspn of spice mixture – turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom (I have these pre-mixed)
1-2 tspns linseed powder
Blend up, drink away & enjoy!

* Notes:

i) if you are not that hungry at breakfast, reduce the amount of bananas, dates, figs etc. Remember, you should be hungry at lunhtime!
ii) It is generally okay, to make a double amount, and keep some in the fridge for the following morning.

Let me know what you think. It’s beauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful!!!
