1. Fresh ginger – great for digestion/stimulating appetite, anti-platelet & anti-inflammatory properties and can work brilliantly in reducing things like nausea, morning sickness, bronchitis/asthma etc.
2. Turmeric – arguably the ‘most powerful cancer preventer/fighter’ in the world, natural anti-histamine, anti-septic – renowned for drawing toxins to it – great for cleansing liver – new research has shown it reduces alcoholic liver damage in rats as well as showing extremely promising results with respect to cystic fibrosis. Ayurvedic doctors have been recommending turmeric in conditions like this for centuries.
*Use only in small amounts – 4-5 pinch/day max. & don’t overheat it.
3. Cardamom – a warming herb – good for stomach & lung areas and settling mind generally – great for giving a nice ’sweetness’ – e.g adding to milky items – porridge, cereals etc.
